| Summary, etc. | This paper investigated the issue of underutilization of regional fishing ports in the Philippines using secondary data from institutional sources and interviews with key informants. It found that most of the existing regional ports were underutilized, having low actual usage to projected ratios. The paper argued that low commercial and aquaculture fish production contributed to the underutilization of the ports. It suggested some measures to address the problem. |
