A 12-sector input-output table with analytical matrices was devised from the 1965 basic tables. The input flow and output distribution are traced, thereby defining its role as purchaser and supplier. Its performance is examined to explain setbacks encountered in the past and at present, and to forecast its future prospects. Finally, the share of housing construction and its impact on some aspects of the economy is analyzed
